Give your child the opportunity to discover the joy of traditional Irish music at Grace's Glasgow Irish Centre with our exciting 3-Day Music Camp, designed for young musicians and beginners aged 8–16.
Participants can choose to learn guitar, violin, or tin whistle, with each day featuring 4 hours of expert tuition from experienced professional musicians. Our tutors have spent years teaching students of all ages and continue to perform professionally across the UK, Ireland and internationally, including appearances at some of Glasgow's most iconic venues such as the OVO Hydro and Barrowland Ballroom.
Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the very first time or looking to develop their existing skills, our camp provides a fun, welcoming and supportive environment. Throughout the three days, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of their chosen instrument while learning authentic traditional Irish tunes, techniques and playing styles.
Lunch is included each day, allowing everyone to relax, socialise and enjoy the full camp experience.
The camp concludes with a special live performance on the main stage at Grace's Glasgow Irish Centre, where participants will showcase everything they've learned to family and friends. It's a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, make new friends and experience the excitement of performing live.

MEET THE TUTORS
Ciaran Dowling – Guitar Tutor
Ciaran has been playing guitar for over five years and has quickly established himself as an experienced performer and tutor within the traditional Irish music scene. He regularly performs at venues across Glasgow and throughout Europe, including iconic stages such as Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom.
Alongside his performing career, Ciaran is currently studying towards a degree in Music at university, further developing his knowledge of performance, musicianship and teaching. Passionate about helping the next generation of musicians, he creates a fun, encouraging environment for students of all abilities. Ciaran is also a PVG licence holder, ensuring a safe and professional learning experience for all participants.
Stiofán – Violin Tutor
Stiofán has been immersed in music from a young age and has gone on to achieve a university degree in Music. As a full-time music tutor, he has years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, helping them build confidence and develop their musical skills.
Alongside teaching, Stiofán is an accomplished live performer who regularly plays throughout Glasgow, across Europe, and at some of Scotland's most prestigious venues, including the OVO Hydro and the Barrowland Ballroom. His passion for traditional Irish music and wealth of performance experience make him an inspiring tutor for aspiring violinists. Stiofán is also a PVG licence holder.
Kat – Tin Whistle Tutor
Kat has been playing traditional Irish music from a young age and has developed into an accomplished musician, performer and tutor. Holding a degree in Music, Kat teaches full-time and has extensive experience working with musicians of all ages and abilities.
As well as teaching, Kat performs regularly across Glasgow and throughout Europe, appearing at renowned venues including the OVO Hydro and the Barrowland Ballroom. Her enthusiasm for traditional Irish music, combined with her friendly and supportive teaching style, helps students develop both their confidence and musical ability. Kat is also a PVG licence holder, providing parents and students with additional peace of mind throughout the camp.
